Ganni SS15 CPHFW
You hear that?
It's the sound of a broken record.
Whilst geographically my physical self has been floating somewhere between North and East London, it would appear that my mind has been otherwise preoccupied around parts of the Danish capital - surprised?
Granted that during the just-concluded Copenhagen Fashion Week; levels of what I'm now calling 'Scandi-mania' may have reached concerning heights.
Now please, let's not start suggesting NA (Nordics Anonymous) group referrals just yet.
Oozing Scandinavian cool from just about every known orifice; the city and its showcasing ultra-chic, ultra-simple labels - including Designers Remix, Acne, Guldknappen and Malene Birger, got ready and put on an a week of understated yet undeniably alluring shows of sartorial finery.
However taking centre stage, or should that be centre court; home-grown Ganni treated bloggers, press and just about everyone in the industry with a questionable taste to a display of exotic minimalism and well-deserving wardrobe staples - all set on a rooftop tennis court. 30 - love, love, love to Ditte Reffstrup for that light bulb moment.
The theme - an underrated aesthetic of pure whites, coordinates and Sports luxe. Throw in a few bold prints, tousle those tresses and team with a pair of Stans et voilà - contemporary silhouettes and suggestive shapes that are now the epitome of the modern day woman.
With such an accessible collection of modern elegance and pieces that are relevant but will also see you through season to season - thank heavens the UK has some top-notch Ganni stockists.
Although flights to the next CPHFW do look very tempting.... especially when a certain airline are about to make jetting very easy come February - ready Bridget?
