Channel Surfing.

7.03.2014

As far as an online persona goes; style-wise I'd thought mine had come to the end of its adolescent stage quite a while back. If I say so myself, seventeen year old moi has nothing on today's version. Instead of MySpace pretence and laughing out loud - it's all checking in, shoe porn and self(ie) awareness.

But then break through a seven year hiatus with no more than a little Channel surfing over to Paris and you suddenly come to realise...
In the eyes of the French you always were and will forever remain 'très Anglais'.

Concluding that Parisian Chic isn't something any outsider can so easily come to attain...
No. I'm afraid that personality trait stays within its national heritage.

Here's to those effort-making 10€ market trader mules and the knowledge that Brit-cool runs well and truly through my veins.

Something tells me Karl Lagerfeld may have discovered a new found love for Dale's Supermarket Sweep over on Challenge. That, or perhaps the runway setting for Chanel's AW14 ready-to-wear show today in Paris was his best to date.

Indeed, in true Lagerfeld style, this morning Le Grand Palais was subject to it's biannual Chanel show transformation, only this time, the makeover left the museum resembling a real-life, Warhol-esque supermarket! Complete with bespoke Chanel goodies, custom shopping trolleys and a team of divine supermodels including that of Cara Delevingne and Kim K's sister - Kendall Jenner; casually browsing through the aisles in Chanel couture.

Makes that quick trip to Aldi with no make up and sans bra look almost high street.

Every little helps.
