Stellar Heights.

| Stella McCartney - Britt Shoe |

Leading a life unencumbered sure has its plus points.

Stepping out in what McCartney's calling her reconditioned salute to the androgynous and all without the 'I'm not going out with you looking like that' is... heaven.

Glossed-leather, wedged-carved wood and a rubber sole fit for some seasonal practicality - now all I've got to do is don a knitted two piece et voilà!
A walking, talking Stella ad right in the centre of London.

Let's see if the same applies to other city gals during that event they're calling LFW...

Happy Feet.

| Slingback Mules - Topshop |

Just adding another update to an already expanding impractical winter wardrobe.

I hate to break it to you Bro but it looks like I was right - it is a fashion show.

Watch me walk the social runway in these...

Cape Abilities.

Nothing says 'As snug as bug in a credit-denting rug' quite like a Burberry Prorsum cape; an adult-sized security blanket with optional monogramming? Christopher Bailey - the man melting into our childhood memories of absolute content since 2014.
Cutting straight to the 'however' - whilst my bank account permits luxuriating in its cashmere and colour-blocked coating strictly during store opening hours; at present a more cost-effective alternative will just about do.

Boasting rich autumnal colour tones and shaping up silhouettes with ingenious layering; not only is the cape the key piece for perfectly executing trans-seasonal dressing, but also provides us Brit gals with some stylishly utilitarian leverage over the unpredictable weather.

And so as the high-street begin to roll out a plethora of it's very own caped crusaders; once I've found the 'one', I'll be balancing out the layers with a streamlined look of roll-neck and skinny fitted trouser - thigh-skimming booties wouldn't go a miss too.

But for the moment, here's to (enduring) enjoying what's left of the British Summer...

Obsessive Compulsive Scandinavian Disorder.

They say the first step to getting better is by admitting you have a problem.
I believe the first step is through the door at Danish label Ganni's new pop-up store in Shoreditch this August.

London, you're doing anything but trying to help with this psychological state of mind.

Preparing for post-seasonal perturb with pre-seasonal pieces.

I'm a poet and I didn't know it.

Although, that English honours may suggest otherwise...

How about another one?

There once was a man from Leeds...

Desperately seeking Scandi.

Julia Nobis by Patrick Demarchelier for Vogue UK August 2014

Man repellent city dweller seeks Scandinavian agriculturist with a slight nod towards Dutch milkmaid for clothes swapping and nights out.

Gimme, gimme, gimme.

Just when we thought socks and orthopaedic sandals were reserved only for those sun-lounger stealing Europeans; Philo & Co make us think otherwise.

Excessive knitwear and a silhouette only a sartorially inclined gentleman could love. Girls, if I had my way we'd all be brandishing this getup. That, and consuming a very satisfying amount of white chocolate.

Miranda Kerr wearing Céline Pre-Fall 2014 by Chris Colls & Clare Byrne for Sunday Style

Dear dowdy, shabby and quite frankly washed-out.

We're sorry we made every effort to avoid you in the past.

Friends again?

Poolside for AW14.

2.18.2014

Talk about a walking contradiction.

Pool slides will be surfacing for air again this coming AW (no not SS) and well, with the help of Whistles' sumptuous fall collection at LFW, it's hard not to see why. Teamed alongside the dreamiest of chunky knits, texturised ombres and delicate lilacs; the 'we're not making a statement but really we are' slip-ons should be right at the top of everybody's list of essential footwear.

We fashion-forward Brits really do care little for the weather.

That said, I still need to dig out those Birkenstocks from last year.
